We are a friendly group of instructors who love to share their passion for Nordic Walking and helping people to achieve their goals. Nothing make us happier than to see someone learn about Nordic Walking, fall in love with it and then use it hit their personal weight loss or fitness goals. Nordic Walking UK Liverpool provides walks and classes for everyone across Nordic Walking UK Liverpool. We can introduce you to the World of Nordic Walking and provide regular classes close to where you live or work.

You don’t have to be a member and you will always be welcome. Nordic Walking is great fun and our instructors will not only ensure that you reach your health goals but that you have a great time doing it! You will learn all you need to know in a relaxed friendly atmosphere with the Learn To Nordic Walk course. Nordic Walking UK Liverpool looks after its walkers, there will never be a shortage of interesting walks and people to meet!

Mary Kirwan

I am a qualified International Mountain Leader and have a passion for being in the outdoors, both overseas and in the wonderful mountains and countryside of the UK.  I lead walks and treks of different levels and for a wide range of individuals of varying ages and abilities.

Once I discovered Nordic Walking I was hooked!  I found that it not only enhanced my mountain activities, but it is a fun and effective way of keeping fit in its own right. So I am as happy in my local park as I am in the hills.

I love the versatility of Nordic Walking.  It can be done anywhere and, apart from poles and appropriate clothing, you don’t need any equipment. It makes a great and much more enjoyable alternative to going to the gym.

I have a degree in Outdoor Education and Environmental Science and have a keen interest in the natural world.  I love looking at birds and wildlife and Nordic Walking always gets me to places where I can find these in abundance. That can be far afield or close to home in local parks and other outdoor spaces. There is always something interesting to discover.

I’m a sociable person, so I love working with groups of new people and helping them to achieve their fitness goals in a fun and effective way. It’s great to see people making new friends and getting fitter at the same time.

South Liverpool Nordic Walking is a Delivery Partner for Nordic Walking U.K. We have been running for over 5 years and walk around the stunning Parks and woodland of South Liverpool.

We love getting outdoors and enjoying fresh air, exercise and making new friends.

Nordic Walking uses over 90% of your body muscles so you are toning as you go. You burn off more calories than ordinary walking but it takes the pressure off your lower joints so you actually feel lighter.

My name is Kerley and I teach people of all ages and fitness levels how to Nordic walk using a range of courses to suit individual client needs.

Nordic Walking is ideal for:

  • People looking for a new, fun, sociable activity
  • People who have been inactive
  • People who want to get fit for a skiing holiday
  • Existing walkers who want to become fitter
  • People who have medical conditions which might limit their ability to exercise

  • People with joint problems looking for a safe form of exercise
  • Ex runners with knee problems
  • People wanting to feel less stressed
  • Those who hate the gym

I have a Nursing and Scouting background, and as an owner of two dogs, I have always enjoyed walking in the countryside, being close to the natural world. Whilst escaping from the demands of 4 teenage sons and an untidy house, I have found that Nordic walking enables me to really enjoy taking exercise at whatever time suits, whatever place suits and at whatever pace I feel like on that day.

I became a Nordic Walking instructor because I have found that Nordic Walking is a great way to help lift the spirits, relieve stress and increase activity and fitness levels in a sociable and fun way. It is a lovely way to make new friends. Walk and Talk! You too will feel these benefits.

Nordic walking with me is a great way to explore the local Cheshire countryside and parks, to learn more walking routes without the fear of getting lost, to feel the benefits of being close to the natural world, hearing birds singing, feeling the sun, wind or rain on your face. These help to make you feel energised, happier and healthier.
